Necro was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up a in the Glenwood Housing Projects, where he lived for eight years from about 6 years old to age 14, when he moved to Canarsie. Born into a Jewish family, he is the son of two Israeli expatriates...

Trevor Lehman a.k.a Death Star is a producer/rapper from Johannesburg South Africa. He has worked with a number of big local and international hip hop acts and has been in underground crews such as Forbidden Poetry and more recently, the self-proclaimed “super crew”, Dead Right There. Death Star’s new EP titled “Sex With Zombies” is due for release next month and I thought it would be fitting to reel him in for an interview. Here’s what went down:

ZEBULON:
For the ones who do not know you, who is Death Star and what are you all about?

You might have familiarized yourself with Demon back in the days of Art of War or more recently, Scrambles4Money, but there is always more to the dude behind the name so I had a moment with the member of Dead Right There and popped a few questions. Have a read.

ZEBULON:
Sup man. Give me some background on Demon as well as how you got into the game.

DEMON:
yo yo wasup.. The name De/mon is actually a Acronym for Destructive Monarch as well as a name on its own....the name came bout whilst I didn’t have an alias back in U.J....hold up hold...

Through sheer talent and determination, Jin Au-Yeung has made musical history. In 2002, he became the first full-blooded Asian-American rapper to sign a deal with a major record label. Jin's rise to fame began in Miami, Florida where he was born and raised. The son of Chinese immigrants, Jin watched his parents work extremely hard every day as they ran their own restaurant. In junior high, Jin became fascinated with hip-hop music and dreamed of becoming a professional rapper. He was inspired by artists such as Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, The Notorious B.I.G. and other New York rappers from the early 1990's,...

Daniel Livingstone a.k.a SafarI is one third of a blazing hot South African conscious rap crew called Articulate Artists. You might know SafarI from creating South Africa's first ever written battle league, Art of War, or from seeing him on stage at SA's biggest hip hop events such as Back To The City, Splash Jam, 420 as well as appearing on several national television programs, but here is an inside-view on SafarI from a little sit-down I had with the emcee:

ZEBULON:
Give me some background on Daniel Livingstone, where you from who you...

Foul Play is one of the most passionate cats in the S.A rap game and knows his ins and outs of both the local and international scene. Not only does he know his shit, but he also cooks up some dope projects in the studio himself. Don’t be fooled by his humbleness! Here’s an interview I did with Foul Play a few days ago:

ZEBULON:
Give me some background on Foul Play. From being just Rashaad Monteiro, to becoming the Foul Play we know today.

FOUL PLAY:
Rashaad is just a regular dude, living on his day to day grind but at night, he becomes Foul-Play, avenging the rap...

ZEBULON:

Did an interview with Mighty Moose. Read it below:

ZEBULON:
Let's start by telling us who MIGHTY MOOSE is. Which hood did you grow up in and how did you get into the game?

MIGHTY MOOSE:
Well my childhood was spent a lil' everywhere. I'm orginally from KZN, but I spent most of my life in the Westrand of Johannesburg.. Lived in Kagiso for a while, then moved to the burbs.. I just remember having...

Good morning hip hop heads. I did an interview yesterday with Scrambles4Money’s latest addition from the Cape Coast, my home boy Jake Baker. He made his debut at S4M last Friday where he defeated Fudge Dafugitive. I know there are some long answers given in this interview but this is all useful shit and surely a dope read:

ZEBULON:
Wordup man, congrats on your victory at your Scrambles4Money debut. For the ones who don't know who Jake Baker is, tell us who you are, where you from and what you all about.

Today I’m posting an interview which I did with W.A.R Bandit a few days ago. This emcee brings that raw natural fire which is a bit rare these days. If you don’t know who he is, read this interview and be sure to give one of his tracks a listen.

ZEBULON:
Introduce yourself homey, tell the ones out there, who don't know War Bandit Tha Village Idiot, who you are

W.A.R BANDIT:
Simply put W.A.R Bandit is literally one of the voices in Tshepo Chaka's head.. Its that angry voice at the back of my head hence the name W.A.R meaning "Words And Rage"..Bandit is also...
